Frequently Asked Questions

How can I register for The City Walk?

Via this website everyone can buy a 'ticket' for a walk in the upcoming weekend on Wednesday from 6:00 pm. We offer weekly walks for which you can register the Thursday prior to the weekend, so nice and short day! We do this to guarantee that we can actually offer the walks and that we have enough participating catering entrepreneurs on the way.

What do I get when I register?

After registration you will receive a confirmation email from us that the registration has been successful. You will receive the mail with route, menu and pub quiz in your mailbox the morning before you go for a walk! The menu is also proof that you are entitled to the deals that the catering entrepreneurs offer you, these will always be around € 5 or cheaper (unless stated otherwise in connection with a special city walk).

How long is a route?

A walking route is often between 6.5 and 7.5 km. So you are at least 1.5 hours on the road! But keep in mind that picking up the deals (or sitting somewhere still / eating them) also takes time! So plan your City Walk time well, so that you are not in front of a closed business after 6:00 PM!

On which days and times is the city walk?

On Friday we have a special Friday afternoon walk, the 11 take it away tour. This is from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All weekend walks on Saturday & Sunday are always from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm (unless indicated otherwise), due to opening times of the catering industry on the way!

Is the City Walk also suitable for children?

Hell yes! We ensure that there are enough fun things to see for children along the way, perhaps the walk for young children who just no longer fit in the pram is a bit too long. Children up to the age of 13 are free, they can of course take part in the deals!

Until when are the City Walks?

We will continue as long as there is demand and until when it remains possible of course! For now we assume that we can continue with the City Walks in this responsible manner. If unsafe situations arise, we are forced to stop the city walks. That would be a real shame, of course, especially for the catering companies. As long as everyone adheres to the rules and you want to help us comply with our measures, such as going for a walk with the two of you, we can continue to do this!

Is the City Walk safe according to the Corona measures?

Walking is still allowed, because the catering entrepreneurs also need the support more than ever at the moment , we have decided to continue with the City Walks. We also think it is very important that people meet in the open air, at a safe distance and of course with some extra exercise! There are some important 'corona rules of the game' that we encounter : (see comma adjusted in bold)
  • The group size is max 2 people or one household (households are a family and no housemates)
  • We allow a maximum number of walkers per route to avoid crowds, so unfortunately full is really full!
  • Keep your distance from fellow walkers as much as possible, especially at the catering establishments
  • Always bring a mouth cap
  • We lead you through busy streets as little as possible
  • The emphasis is on take out !!

So pick up that delicious deal that has been prepared especially for you and walk on, that beautiful city walk does not just happen;)
